- Eating in a cycling cafe
This route goes through a number of Spanish villages on the way to the Jalon valley. Through the Jalon valley we ride alongside the many vineyards and almond trees. Along the way we stop at a real Belgian cycling cafe/restaurant where we have lunch. Pancakes are on the menu here, a real favorite to replenish the burnt calories . From here we ascend a little and then have a descent of about 10 to 15 minutes with the most beautiful views with the sea in the background.

- Denia Castle
Tuesday is Denia day. This place can be reached by crossing the Montgo. A nice climb with beautiful views of Javea from Cabo Sant Antoni, where you can see Ibiza and Formentera in clear weather. We visit the castle in Denia that was built in the 8th century by the Moors on the remains of a Roman fortress. Under the fortress is a tunnel that was dug during the civil war. Nearby we eat pinchos for lunch then return via Cabo la Nao with a view of the rugged coastline to the end point of this ride.

- Caves of Benidoleig
Today we are going to do a fairly flat ride. From the starting point we go through the campo of Javea towards Gata de Gorgos, a town known for its wickerwork. After visiting the shops we continue to Beniarbeig where we have traditional Spanish tapas for lunch. After this we continue to visit the caves of Benidoleig. On the way back to Javea we stop at an old olive tree. This gem is between 800 and 1000 years old and stands on a place where there used to be a Moorish farm.

- De best paella
Today we combine 2 highlights from Wednesday and Friday. (Gata de Gorgos and the Jalon valley) Today we pass through Gata de Gorgos where we pass again the shops with the wickerwork. Via a nice climb we ride to the Jalon valley where we have lunch in a traditional paella restaurant. The paella is prepared in the traditional way on a wood fire. You can watch the cook at work in the kitchen. Just like Monday, another 10 to 15 minutes descent with the most beautiful view.

- The Highpoint (literally)
The longest ride on the program but also one that goes above and beyond. Here we visit the place where the Vuelta de Espana has finished twice. Between the mountains you can see Benidorm. We continue our way via a descent towards Calpe. Here we pass a saltwater lagoon where flamingos live most of the year. After lunch in Calpe we head to Moraira via the coastal road. Then continue towards Javea where we can look back with satisfaction on this long ride with a cup of coffee.
The rides start at approximately 10 am in Javea and the plan is to be back in Javea between 4 and 5 pm.
If you are not staying in Javea, you can be picked up from your holiday address for a small extra charge
